Karen Kwasny’s Kickoff Event

Our campaign kickoff was a huge success with over 150 people in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food from Beach Bully, the kids enjoyed the free petting farm, and I enjoyed talking with so many people about my campaign for the Princess Anne District seat on Virginia Beach City Council. The most frequently asked question was “What made you decide to run?”  My answer on Sunday was as it has been and as it will be: “The city is on the cusp of positive change; I want to be a part of that.  I’m ready to do the work needed to address our issues and move us forward.  I have what it takes to make a difference that will benefit all community members: knowledge of planning, fresh perspective, and independent thinking.”  The day ended with gratitude for all the friends who came out, my committee’s hard work, Randi and JD Vogel and Terri Lavenstein for hosting, and my family’s faith and support.
