For those in need of more information about the ARP and the value it brings to all of us, please see below. This is a new initiative to provide residents information on city items many feel “uninformed” about.
From the Communications Office:
In VB411, a new biweekly video series, Nancy Bloom tackles tough topics to bring truth and clarity to misconceptions and rumors. There is also a companion website, VB411: Fact or Fiction?, that provides details on topics Miz Info covers as well as other issues that don’t make it on the show.
The idea of the show came about after City Council members expressed frustration over the amount of bad information floating around. A number of cities have websites like Fact or Fiction. But, with the increasing use of video, the Communications Office proposed producing a four-five minute video show in addition to the website. The show debuted March 9.
A new episode is shared on Facebook and VBgov.com every second and fourth Friday. The main topic in this week’s episode is: the Agriculture Reserve Program (ARP). If you have a topic you think we should cover, send an email to MizInfo@vbgov.com or give the Communications Office a call at 385-4679.
