The Mayoral Race Candidates for Consideration:
Ben Davenport: current “At-large” representative serving 1 term (01/01/15 – 12/31/18). He is a partner at Davenport Management Company, a residential development firm.
Bobby Dyer: current “Centerville District” representative serving 4 terms (07/01/04 – 12/31/20). He was an Assistant Professor in the School of Government at Regent University, where he taught Public Administration.

John Moss: current representative serving 4 terms (11/10/11- 12/31/18, resigned 03/17/95, 07/01/92 – 03/17/95 & 07/01/86 – 06/30/90). Mr. Moss serves as the Director of the Submarine Program Requirements and Warfare Development for the Commander Submarines Force Atlantic.
Linda Bright: is a consultant and the owner of Health Care Services of Hampton Roads Inc.
Garry Hubbard: is the retired owner of Hubbard Brothers construction company.
Dee Oliver: is currently a Planning Commission member and owner of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. She is an author, consultant, and inspirational speaker.
Aaron Rouse: is a retired National Football League player.
Allison White: is a teacher at King’s Fork High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. She is the first openly transgender woman to run for council.
Bayside District Candidates for Consideration
Mayor Louis Jones: current representative serving 8 terms (07/01/06 – 12/31/18, 07/01/90 – 06/30/06 & 07/01/82 – 06/30/86). He is president and owner of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Inc. and Tidewater Cemetery Corporation.
Brad Martin: works for American Engineering as an engineer.
Beach District Candidates for Consideration:
John Uhrin: current representative serving 3 terms (07/01/06 – 12/31/18). he is the director of operations for Seashore Management Co. and CBM Co.
John Coker: works for Anthem as a senior business systems analyst.
Richard “R.K.” Kowalewitch: is the former owner of RK’s Surf Shop at the Oceanfront.
David Nygaard: is a jeweler for Nygaard VIII Inc.

Sabrina Devon Wooten: currently serves as a mentor and instructor for the Kempsville Entrepreneur Academy
Lynnhaven District Candidates for Consideration:
James Wood: current representative serving 4 terms (07/01/02 – 12/31/18). He is the manager of Wood Family Partnership L.P. and Ocean Bay Contracting.
Mike Maskell: works for the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner and is a family law attorney.
Kerry Reynolds: works for the City of Virginia Beach Planning Department as a construction inspector.
Susanne Henderson: works for The Real Estate Group as a realtor.
Princess Anne District Candidates for Consideration:
Barbara Henley: is the current representative serving 8 terms (07/01/06 – 12/31/18, 07/01/94 – 06/30/02 & 07/01/78 – 06/30/90). She is the owner of Henley Farms.
Karen Kwasny: voluntarily serves as the Princess Anne District representative on the City of Virginia Beach Planning Commission. She also volunteers as a member on the Transition Area Interfacility Traffic Area Citizens Advisory Committee and the 2040 Vision to Action Community Coalition. She has a doctorate in American Literature and Multicultural Studies and is an Assistant Professor at Saint Leo University.
